Beach Pass

What is a Beach Pass?
A Beach Pass is for guests who want to enjoy the park without surfing. It provides all-day access to the upper-level beach and surf basin viewing area, making it the perfect option for friends and family who want to watch the action. Children 10 years old and under receive free Beach Pass admission and do not need to purchase a Beach Pass. A signed waiver is still required for all guests, regardless of age.
How much is a Beach Pass?
Beach Passes are $10 per person.
What are the hours for a Beach Pass?
Beach Passes are valid during our standard operating hours, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Do I need to have a surf session booked to purchase a Beach Pass?
No. Beach Passes are completely separate from surf sessions and may be purchased whether or not you have a session booked.
Does a Beach Pass include surfing?
No. A Beach Pass provides spectator access only. Surf sessions, lessons, and rentals must be purchased separately.
Can I purchase a Beach Pass online?
Yes. Beach Passes can be purchased online before your visit or at Guest Services upon arrival.
Do I need to sign a waiver if I am not surfing?
Yes. All guests entering the facility, including spectators, must complete a signed waiver, regardless of whether they plan to surf.
If my child is surfing, do I need to purchase a Beach Pass?
No. Parents or guardians accompanying a child participating in a surf session may watch their child without purchasing a Beach Pass.
Can I leave and re-enter with my Beach Pass?
Yes. Beach Passes include unlimited entry and exit to the surf basin viewing area throughout the day of your visit.
Do I need a Beach Pass to use the Outdoor Wellness Area?
No. A Beach Pass is only required if you plan to access the surf basin viewing area. Guests using only the Outdoor Wellness Area do not need a Beach Pass.

General Information

What is The Point Surf Park?
The Point Surf Park is a surf destination in Fellsmere, Florida, offering consistent, controlled waves for first-time surfers through advanced and professional-level surfers. The park is designed around safe progression, physical well-being, mentorship, and community.
Where is The Point Surf Park located?
In Fellsmere, Florida, near the Treasure Coast. The park is just off Interstate 95 and approximately 15 minutes from Vero Beach.
What are The Point's operating hours?
The surf lagoon currently lists hours of 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Hours may vary because of private events, maintenance, weather, seasonal schedules, or other conditions. Please confirm current hours before visiting.
Do I need to know how to surf?
No. The Caroline Marks Surf Academy is designed for first-time surfers, while Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Pro sessions provide progressive options for different experience levels.
Is The Point only for surfers?
No. In addition to surfing, The Point plans to offer food trucks, a surf shop, wellness amenities, an event center, spectator areas, lockers, showers, and other guest amenities.
Is The Point family-friendly?
Yes. The Point is designed to be a welcoming place where families can learn, surf, relax, and spend time together, with guided sessions, food trucks, spectator areas, clean amenities, and free parking.

Booking and Payment

Is full payment required when I make a reservation?
Yes. Full payment is required at the time of purchase. We do not accept deposits, and a reservation is not confirmed until payment is received in full.
Are purchases refundable?
All purchases are final and binding. Certain surf-session cancellations may qualify for a future credit or voucher based on how far in advance the cancellation is made.
Can I change or cancel my surf session?
Seven or more days before the session: cancel without penalty and keep the value as a credit or voucher. Less than seven days but at least 72 hours before: cancel with 50% forfeited, remaining value issued as a credit or voucher. Within 72 hours: no changes, modifications, or rescheduling. Credits and rebooking are subject to availability.
Can I transfer my reservation to someone else?
A reservation may be reassigned to another person only with approval from The Point and in accordance with park procedures. The replacement participant must meet all eligibility and participation requirements.
What happens if I do not show up?
Guests who do not appear for their scheduled session are considered a no-show and lose the full value of the booking.
What happens if I arrive late?
Arriving more than 30 minutes after the start time is treated as a no-show with full loss of value. Guests within the 30-minute grace period may participate when time, space, safety, and operations allow. Missed time is not added back.
Can I enter the surf lagoon without a reservation?
No. Entry requires a valid booked session, pass, or other authorized admission.
Are walk-ins accepted?
Walk-ins may be accepted when space is available, but advance reservations are strongly recommended. A walk-in is not guaranteed a session, rental, lesson, or preferred time.
What happens if The Point suspends or closes operations?
If operations are affected by weather, lightning, mechanical issues, maintenance, or safety concerns, The Point may provide a full or partial credit, voucher, rebooking option, or another appropriate remedy based on the portion affected.

Vouchers and Gift Cards

How long are vouchers valid?
A voucher or prepaid purchase made without a confirmed booking date is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
How long are gift cards valid?
Gift cards are valid for two years from the date of purchase.
Are vouchers and gift cards subject to restrictions?
Yes. They must be redeemed before their expiration dates and are subject to availability, blackout dates, and applicable booking requirements.

Arrival and Planning Your Visit

How early should I arrive?
Arrive early enough to complete check-in, confirm required documents, obtain equipment, change, and attend the pre-session safety briefing. Your booking confirmation will list the recommended arrival time.
What should I bring?
A swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen, a change of clothes, a water bottle, a valid photo ID when required, any required medication, and personal surf equipment if permitted and approved. Surfboards, wetsuits, helmets, rashguards, and other rental equipment may be available on-site.
Is parking available?
Yes. The Point plans to offer complimentary on-site parking. Availability may be affected by special events or capacity.
Are showers and lockers available?
Yes. Showers and lockers are among the planned guest amenities. Locker availability, duration, and fees may vary.
Can family and friends watch my surf session?
Spectator areas are part of the family-friendly experience. Access may depend on capacity, event restrictions, safety requirements, and operating conditions.
Are there hotels near The Point?
We currently highlight Captain Hiram's and Stagecoach Suites as nearby lodging options for an overnight visit.
What else is there to do nearby?
Nearby highlights include gator boat rides and eco-tours, Sebastian Inlet, local dining, beaches, fishing, and other Treasure Coast attractions.

Caroline Marks Surf Academy

What is the Caroline Marks Surf Academy?
A guided introduction to surfing for first-time and early-beginner surfers, with land-based instruction and in-water coaching in a controlled environment.
What is included in a Surf Academy lesson?
Approximately 45 minutes of groundwork covering safety, stance, board basics, and fundamentals, plus about 55 minutes in the water with coach-guided instruction and practice.
Who should book the Surf Academy?
Guests who have never surfed or who want a fully guided introduction before entering a standard Beginner session.
Is equipment available for Surf Academy lessons?
Soft-top surfboards and other required equipment may be provided or available for rental depending on the package. Review the inclusions listed during booking.
Are helmets required for Surf Academy lessons?
Yes. Helmets are required for all beginner surf lessons, including Surf Academy lessons.

Surf Levels and Progression

What surf levels are available at The Point?
Caroline Marks Surf Academy, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Pro. Each level increases in wave intensity, speed, power, and required ability.
How do I select the correct surf session?
Book a session that matches your current ability. Review session descriptions and eligibility carefully. The Find Your Level feature helps you choose the right option.
What happens if I book a session above my ability level?
If staff determine a surfer is in the wrong session, creating a hazard, or cannot participate safely, The Point may reassign or remove the surfer. Removal does not guarantee a credit or refund.
Can I move up to the next surf level?
Yes, based on demonstrated comfort, control, consistency, wave reading, and overall ability. After multiple sessions you may request an assessment to determine readiness.
Do beginners and advanced surfers share the same session?
No. Sessions and wave settings are matched to the ability level booked. Only participate in sessions appropriate for your skills and comfort.
Are coaches available for experienced surfers?
Yes. Private coaching, group sessions, and specialty experiences are offered for skill levels from first-time through advanced. Availability may vary.
How does the surfing queue work?
Unless otherwise stated, a one-at-a-time priority system applies. Surfers wait their turn and may not interfere with another guest's wave.
What happens if I miss my wave?
If you miss your wave, are out of position, or fall, return to the queue and wait for your next opportunity.
What should I do after falling?
Clear the riding area as quickly and safely as possible and follow all staff instructions regarding channels, exits, and safe positioning.
What behavior is expected from surfers?
Treat staff and fellow guests with respect, wait your turn, follow instructions, stay within your ability level, and avoid conduct that puts anyone at risk.

Age, Height, and Participant Requirements

What is the minimum height required to surf?
The general minimum height is 42 inches, or 3.5 feet. Additional height, age, ability, or eligibility requirements may apply to specific sessions, lessons, camps, and programs.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Age and supervision requirements vary by program. Participants who do not meet supervision requirements must be accompanied by an adult.
Do minors need a parent or guardian present?
Yes. Any participant under 18 must have all waivers completed by a parent or legal guardian, who must also be present during check-in.
Does every participant need to know how to swim?
Yes. All participants must be able to swim and perform reasonable self-rescue appropriate to the activity.
Can The Point refuse participation?
Yes, when a guest does not meet height, age, swimming, ability, safety, eligibility, documentation, or supervision requirements. Additional screening or approval may be required.

Waivers and Safety

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every participant must complete all required waivers, releases, and acknowledgments of risk before taking part in an activity that requires them.
Can I participate before my waiver is completed?
No. You may not participate in surfing, lessons, rentals, or related activities until all required documents are completed and accepted.
Is surfing at The Point risk-free?
No. Surfing and water activities involve inherent risks, including injury, illness, property damage, or death. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
What safety personnel are available?
Trained safety staff monitor the water, a licensed paramedic is on-site, and emergency-response resources are located at the basin. Staffing and procedures follow operating schedules and park protocols.
How does The Point promote safe progression?
Through ability-based sessions, pre-session guidance, controlled wave settings, trained staff oversight, and operational safety procedures.
Can a session be stopped for safety reasons?
Yes. Closures and stops may occur at any time due to weather, lightning, emergencies, maintenance, mechanical issues, or safety concerns. Follow all staff instructions.
Can a guest be removed from a session or the property?
Yes. The Point may warn, reassign, remove, deny entry, or require a guest to leave for safety concerns, misconduct, intoxication, or rule violations, without a refund.

Equipment and Rentals

Do I need to bring my own surfboard?
No. The Point plans to offer soft-top boards for learning and hard-top boards for experienced surfers. Rental equipment may be reserved online, subject to availability.
What equipment is available to rent?
Soft-top surfboards, hard-top surfboards, wetsuits, helmets, life vests, boogie boards, and fins, leashes, wax, and other surf hardware. Inventory, sizes, eligibility, and pricing may vary.
Should I reserve rental equipment in advance?
Yes. Reserving in advance lets the team prepare the right gear and size before you arrive. Same-day availability is not guaranteed.
Can I bring my own surfboard or bodyboard?
Personal boards may be permitted only after inspection and approval by staff, depending on session type, skill level, board size, shape, condition, fin setup, and safety considerations.
Can The Point refuse certain equipment?
Yes. Only approved equipment may be used in designated surf areas. Unsafe, incompatible, damaged, or inappropriate equipment may be prohibited.
Are stand-up paddleboards permitted?
Stand-up paddleboards are not permitted during public sessions. They may be permitted during approved private sessions.
Are foil boards permitted?
Foils are not permitted during public or private sessions unless expressly authorized by The Point.
Are helmets required?
Helmets are required for all Beginner surf lessons and Beginner sessions. They are recommended but not required for Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Pro sessions.
What am I responsible for when renting equipment?
Inspect equipment before use, report issues immediately, use it only as intended, and return it in the condition received aside from ordinary wear. You are responsible for loss, theft, misuse, or excessive damage. Fees may apply.

Private and Group Surf Sessions

Can I reserve a private surf session?
Yes. Private sessions are designed for families, friends, teams, parties, youth groups, and other organized groups.
What types of groups can book a private session?
Families, friends, school or youth groups, surf clubs, corporate teams, birthday parties, bachelor or bachelorette groups, team-building events, surf trips, and other celebrations.
Can our group select the wave setting?
Our team helps match the wave setting and format to your group's experience, goals, and ability. Safety and operational requirements apply.
Can coaching and rentals be added to a private session?
Yes. Coaching support and board rentals may be added to eligible private sessions, subject to availability and the selected package.
Can different ability levels participate in the same private session?
Private sessions can serve a range of levels, but the wave setting, equipment, coaching, and format must suit the group. The Point may divide or limit participation when needed for safety.

Events and Event Center

Can I host an event at The Point?
Yes. The second-floor event center is designed for corporate events, parties, team outings, church events, Bible studies, youth groups, retreats, product launches, meetings, and more.
Where is the event center located?
On the second floor, overlooking the surf lagoon and waves.
Does the event center offer indoor and outdoor space?
Yes, with flexible layouts and both indoor and outdoor space. Access and configurations depend on the selected package.
Is catering available?
Catering options may be available. Catering, rentals, audiovisual equipment, furniture, decor, and other services are not included unless stated in the event proposal or agreement.
Can an event include surfing?
Surf sessions, private lagoon time, coaching, rentals, and other activities may be added to certain events, subject to availability, pricing, waivers, eligibility, and safety requirements.
How do I request event information?
Submit an event or group inquiry through our website. Availability, pricing, layouts, and included services will be confirmed by our event team.

Food and Drinks

Will food and drinks be available?
Yes. Four local food trucks will offer rotating menus, with shaded seating, tables, and chairs available for guests.
Will the same food trucks be available every day?
Vendors and menus may rotate. Check the current schedule or available options before visiting.
Is seating available near the food trucks?
Yes. The food-truck courtyard includes shaded seating with tables and chairs, available first-come unless reserved for a private event.
Are there family-friendly food options?
The food-truck area offers a relaxed, family-friendly dining environment. Specific menus and dietary options depend on the vendors operating that day.
Can I bring outside food or drinks?
Rules may vary by event and day. Glass containers are prohibited in restricted areas, including lagoon areas. Check current park rules before bringing outside food or drinks.

Wellness Center

Does The Point have a Wellness Center?
Yes. The planned Wellness Center includes indoor and outdoor recovery amenities for post-surf recovery and relaxation.
What wellness services are available?
Massage tables, a massage chair, massage sessions, guided stretching, a 16 to 20 person outdoor sauna, two four-person ice baths, and sauna and ice-bath recovery circuits.
Do I need to surf to use the Wellness Center?
Wellness access may be offered on its own or added to a surf session, depending on the service and booking options.
Do wellness services require reservations?
Advance reservations are recommended because availability may be limited. Review any health requirements, age restrictions, waivers, and safety instructions before participating.
Can I use the sauna and ice baths between surf sessions?
Depending on availability and package, the Wellness Center may be used after or between sessions. Allow enough time and follow all posted wellness and safety instructions.

Lockers and Personal Belongings

Are lockers available?
Lockers are a planned guest amenity. Guests are responsible for properly securing their lockers during the rental period.
How long may I use a locker?
Until the stated expiration time or, when none is provided, until park closing on the day of use.
Is The Point responsible for items placed in a locker?
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Point is not responsible for property lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged in a locker or elsewhere on the property.
Can The Point inspect a locker?
Yes, when it reasonably suspects illegal activity, a safety issue, a policy violation, or another situation requiring action to protect guests, staff, or property.
What items may not be stored in lockers?
Illegal, hazardous, flammable, or otherwise prohibited items may not be stored in lockers.

Photography and Video

Can I take personal photos and videos?
Personal photography and filming may be permitted in designated or public areas for private, non-commercial use, subject to park rules and staff instructions.
Can I use a GoPro or Insta360 while surfing?
Such cameras may be permitted only in approved configurations and only when allowed for the applicable session or activity.
Are drones permitted?
No. Drones are not permitted on The Point Surf Park property.
Can I use footage from The Point for commercial purposes?
Guest-created photos and videos may not be used for advertising, sponsorship, brand partnerships, commercial activity, or monetized distribution without prior written approval from The Point.
Will The Point take photos or videos of my session?
Photo and video packages are planned, but we do not guarantee that a specific participant, wave, or session will be captured.
May The Point photograph or film guests?
By entering the property, guests consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded by The Point or its representatives, for lawful promotional, editorial, marketing, social media, broadcast, operational, or archival purposes without additional compensation or notice.

Guest Conduct and Prohibited Items

What behavior is expected from guests?
Behave respectfully, safely, and responsibly, and follow staff instructions, posted rules, and safety procedures. Aggressive behavior, threats, harassment, abusive language, unsafe conduct, or disruption will not be tolerated.
Are alcohol or drugs permitted before participating?
No. Guests may not participate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Illegal substances are prohibited on the property.
Are weapons permitted?
No. Weapons are prohibited on The Point Surf Park property.
Is smoking or vaping permitted?
Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are prohibited except in areas specifically designated or permitted by The Point.
Are glass containers permitted?
Glass containers are prohibited in restricted areas, including areas around the surf lagoon.
Can The Point inspect bags or personal property?
Yes, when reasonably necessary for safety, security, or policy enforcement.

Pets and Service Animals

Are pets permitted?
No. Pets are not permitted on The Point Surf Park property.
Are service animals permitted?
